GW places up one in U.S. News rankings

From Executive Editor Emily Metz:

A leaked version of the 2007 US News and World Report College rankings have put The George Washington University up one point from last year’s rankings; GWU is now ranked 52 in the category of Top National Universities.
The 2007 US News and World Report College rankings were leaked to popular college website, College Confidential, today, causing quite a stir among college students across the country.
The rankings are usually released in early September, but according to College Confidential, this is not the first time the rankings have been leaked, and in the last four years every “leak” has been confirmed. The website also noted that the rankings are supposed to be officially confirmed by Friday.
