His speech will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the Marvin Betts Theatre in the Marvin Center.

Four days later, on Tuesday, Sept. 26, Afghan President Hamid Karzai will join U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlo Gutierrez, to talk about econofor a discussion of “Afghanistan: Challenges and Opportunities for Economic Development.” A panel discussion featuring key United States and Afghan-American private sector representatives will follow.
