Regina Spektor to headline Spring Fling

New York singer-songwriter Regina Spektor will headline this year’s Spring Fling, Dustin Wright, executive vice chair of Program Board, told The Daily Colonial Wednesday night.

The Soviet-born Spektor began gaining media attention in 2005 and her 2006 album “Begin to Hope” reach number 20 on the Billboard 200, a list of the highest selling music albums in the U.S.

Past Spring Fling performers include rappers Lloyd Banks and Talib Kweli, hip hop groups Jurrasic 5 and The Roots, and comedic rock group The Bloodhound Gang.

This year’s event is set for Saturday, April 14, in University Yard.
