The University is on “heightened alert” after a gunman killed at least 32 people in dorms and classrooms at Virginia Tech.
GW Campus Alert sent out a blast e-mail at 2:30 p.m. reminding students and faculty to stay cautious of suspicious activity and to program UPD’s number into their mobile phones.

Former Columbian College Dean William Frawley was charged with driving while intoxicated Wednesday, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department.
A police release says that Frawley, who is now president of the University of Mary Washington, refused to take a DUI breath test when he was pulled over.
