Colonial Invasion and free newspaper program returning in ‘07-’08

Colonial Invasion and GW Reads - two of the most popular, recently discontinued University programs - will return for the 2007-2008 school year, according to a press release from Student Association President-elect Nicole Capp.

Invasion, the Spirit Week celebration that kicked off basketball season, and GW Reads, the program that provided free newspapers in dormitories, were both cancelled for this academic year. According to the release, Capp, Vice President-elect Brand Kroeger and the SA pushed the GW administration to bring back the programs after “public outcry.”

“(Capp and I have) worked hard in our first few weeks and as a result, newspapers are back and the Colonials are invading again,” Kroeger said in the release.
