Knapp announces sustainability task force

President Steven Knapp announced the creation of a task force on sustainability this week to complement other environmentally-friendly initiatives at GW. The group of faculty, staff and students will evaluate GW’s existing programs and formulate recommendations on topics such as energy conservation, resource management and sustainability awareness, according to a press release.

Though the task force’s report will not be issued until June 2008, the university has already looked toward sustainable design when planning GW’s next big construction projects, contained in the recently approved Campus Plan.
