GW Tree Blocks Mt. Vernon Route

Metropolitan Police reported a road closure Sunday night from Whitehaven to W Street on Foxhall Road due to a fallen tree that is property of GW. According to a notification from Alert DC, the University was bringing in a contractor to remove the tree.

SEAS Dean Resigns

The university announced that Timothy Tong, dean of GW’s School of Engineering and Applied Science, will step down from that position beginning in late June 2008. The reason for his resignation and post-Gw plans were not immediately shared. Tong has served as SEAS dean since 2000.

Knapp announces sustainability task force
