Stats

Sorry you haven’t heard much from me yet this semester - most of my Daily Colonial time has gone to tweaking the new site (notice the blog box is reprogrammed today) and writing a new constitution for our rapidly-growing organization.

So, today I wanted to answer a question I get a lot of email about, from readers, advertisers, interested alumni and our own staff - how many people really read The Daily Colonial?

Well, the best way we have to measure readership is in pageviews. It’s the internet standard (and what Google pays us for).

This year, we have an average of 154,757 pageviews a month. That varies on a day-to-day basis, of course, with the highest numbers coming on our arts-packed Mondays.

Pretty good, considering that less than two years ago, the number was zero.
