Trustee council in place

Today, I am proud to announce that The Daily Colonial’s new oversight body, the Trustee Council, is up and running.

The council serves as an advisory body, as well as an election committee and a judicial body. Advising, though, is the primary function. As such, the membership is diverse.

I hold one seat on the Council, as does Editor-in-Chief Riki Parikh. Opinion Editor Emeritus Brittany Lannert serves as chair, and our newest member, Todd Jasper, represents the interests of the student body. We are also currently looking for a faculty trustee.

Our first job will be running the impending Editor-in-Chief election, a process that I will post about soon.
